About HealthTech
Since 2000, the HealthTech project, as part of the University of Warwick, was partially funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to support SMEs in Objective 2 areas of the West Midlands to diversify into the medical and healthcare technologies and /or to develop innovative products and services for that sector.
We are proud to be a founder member of the excellent support network in the region, which is regarded to be an example for the rest of the UK. We have developed effective partnerships with Medilink West Midlands, CHID, MidTECH and other organizations, including NHS Trusts, and successfully supported more than 100 clients.
The ERDF funding ended on 31 December 2006. With permission from the University and support from WMG, team members have effectively ‘spun out’ and set up HealthTech Organisation Ltd as an independent private company, limited by guarantee.
Since then HealthTech has successfully gained a contract to support SMEs diversifying into the healthcare technology sector as part of the Medilink WM / Advantage West Midlands Single Project. Furthermore, we are Preferred Suppliers to the National Innovation Centre, part of the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement.
